Let the Line Fly by Justin Miller

Another idea I tried last week while running errands all over town!

I took this from inside my car, through the windshield, which made the flash fire...so I cropped it down to get rid of the flash burst on the windshield. Fortunately it didn't obscure my intended subject.

Well compose/dcropped, Justin...I really like your perspective from behind the fisherman. Neat how the pole rises up into the sky to enhance the idea of "flight" here. Good idea...and a nice shot, especially from the inside of your car. MFC

Thanks...yeah, I had just washed my car and was taking a slow cruise up the beach on my way to the furniture store. The L1 shots sharpen nicely with some USM...this is probably a 1200x1600 crop of the original, then downsized and sharpened with USM at .5/150/0. I ran a dose of Helicon noisefilter first...because I had cropped, the faint noise was a little more noticeable. Still, the little L1 does a decent job, and can be with me everywhere I go!

WOW through a windsheild, darn it must have been CLEAN! I like your shot too! I thought of fly fishing LOL. Yes he's a guy doing his thing!

Nice catch (and nicely composed/cropped), Justin. The detail and clarity are there - you must have had a very clean windshield! Bev
