Beautiful shot - I love the color of the wings, his pointed toes, and the position of his head and his unusual beak!

I like all three of your bird images, Harry, but I think this is my favorite, with the wing color against white. All well captured images -- great work. Helen

Ummmmmmmmhum. Look at the color on this guy. Isn't he neat? Super shot!

Beautiful how this spoonbill glides toward the viewer with neck lowered, legs trailing, & a pleasing translucency to those gently bent wings. It feels almost 3-D. The stark contrast, composition, and point of view are all very effective. Nice shot, Harry. MFC

Harry - all three of your pictures are very very good but this one i find exceptional - the translucent quality of the wings, the pose you caught, minute motion blur and neutral background all comes together perfectly :) ~gk

Your bird pictures are beautiful, Harry, with wonderful detail. I especially like the transparent quality of the spoonbill's wing feathers. Great shots! Bev

My favourite of your three shots. The pose of the bird is great and it is very interesting in appearance in every respect. Never seen a bird like this (not that we have much of a change at these latitudes anyway, besides the occasional magpie, crow or the common tit....)
