July 16, 2005 Carmen

"Hullo, mousie"
by Carmen

This hawk was staring at me so intently, I was starting to get a little nervous.

Taken at the Bristol Renaissance Faire -- this bird is part of a working birds of prey exhibition.

Great capture, Carmen, and perfect title. I might have been a bit nervous, too, if he was looking at me like that! Helen

Great interaction, Carmen....Perfect exmaple of of why we attribute 'eyes like a hawk ' to describe how nothing escapes them. CoOl.!Irish

Carmen, I like your head-on perspective here. The tilt of the hawk's head is really effective and expressive...so intent and inquiring. Nice DOF in the background too...fun title. Nice shot. MFC

I'm sure he was begging for food! Such a sad expression, that you see on dogs all the time when they're begging for a tidbit...I like the intense eye contact. Man, that look just melts my heart.
