Pathway to God?*
by Justin Miller

Not meant to promote or deny any particular religion...but I thought it might be interesting to offer 5 different paths used by the World's major religions.

Justin, an Iranian friend says that it is a book written about the Koran titled "(The) Koran and (the) Prophet" (Ghoran va Payambar) written by Fakhreddin Hejazi in Farsi. Sorry, it is indeed upside down but at least it's on the right topic :-). Still a beautifully done image. Helen

My understanding is that the two written languages are similar (probably why I was able to sort identify some of the letters in an Arabic alphabet book after I had flipped the picture around). If they are written right to left (as Japanese can be), then it would make sense that the books are "back to front" and thus make that one upside down. I'll see if I can get a Farsi or Arabic speaker to have a look to make sure it's really a Koran (for your peace of mind :-)). Helen

Upside down is a possibility...I am quite ignorant of arabic or farsi! I seem to recall that it reads right to left, but I wouldn't know up from down, so it's likely my faux-pas!

Thank you Helen. I couldn't find anything other than this to use for the Quran...I was told that it has 'quran' written in Farsi, so I took it on good faith and trust that it was at least about or related to the Quran. I think the English letter version of that in Farsi is "quran va piambar"...of which I do not know the meaning. I'm curious though...hopefully it is quran related, and not an instruction manual on assembling a model train or something!

Sorry, I see now it does look like Arabic but upside down? Helen

Very nicely lit and composed, Justin. What is the book in the lower left? I would have thought the Koran, but it doesn't look like Arabic to my untrained eye. Helen

Good idea, Justin. I like how you spotlighted the books...good contrast with the black background too. Nice take on our spiritual pathways. MFC
