4th Place (tie)
Not a Towel *

by Arjun Roychowdhury

Keukenhoff fields, Amsterdam

(title modified after MadCat's post ;-) )

Lines and lines of beautiful tulips at the Keukenhoff fields
in Amsterdam.Almost like an Artist's palette.
The diagonal soil line almost rudely interrupts the colorful palette.

Canon EOS 20D
1/1000s f/8.0 at 200.0mm iso200

Vantage point for MFC: (I was on top of a windmill)

Living nearby these fields I enjoy the beauty of your picture even more. You created a nice compo here. The towel idea - thanks to madcat - is very nice as well. BTW I have to make a small correction: you can leave out the extra f at Keukenhof. Adrian.

Thanks Mark. So I have two people to thank for this image - Madcat for the title and MFC for actually taking the time to browse through my galleries and point out images I could use for this challenge ! Now that is one fine challenge host !

Very interesting line up of flower field. I had no problem picking these out as being flowers, and, your title is almost as hilarious as your drawing, both of which I enjoyed. (btw, the drawing really tells the story well) Markjay

*laugh* that is very funny, MadCat ! Yes, now that you mention it, it does look just like a towel macro - but what about that brown diagonal patch ? Oh yeah, maybe its a sign that I used the towel a bit too much ? :-)

Hehehehehe I'm so sorry !!! But the truth is too funny not to tell it :
I was looking at the photo and all that time i was 100% sure (even no doubt) i was looking on a macro shot of a towel ! :))) I even wondered "Why didnt he put it in the Eligible ? maybe he dont have the towel anymore..." :)))
But then i read the description and i feel.... foolish... ? I'm sorry for my mistake. Its a great photo of a great place... Never seen a feild with such variation of colors. I wish i could see such feild with my own eyes. Better if it will last up to the horizon... oh well.... maybe i'm describing a paradise here :)

From near or afar, everything within view is lined up here. I really like the beautiful palette of colors...& the wonderful pattern of lines. Nice shot, Arjun. Where was your vantage point? MFC
