Bill, this is such an awesome photo. I read how you put this together. Absolutely a perfect composition for the challenge. Well done!

The overall work that we put into getting just the right shot never ceases to amaze me. This is very creative and a wonderful image exemplifing the theme perfectly. Way to go, Bill! Hope the muscle aches are gone.---Deb

Very nice composition - I really like the background of sheet music - it sure took a lot of sheets!

Great pic! I played tuba from junior high through college, so I know how fun they are to tote around. Very creative.

Stephane,

Getting the shot was quite tricky, as you may know that tuba itself is a very large istrument almost 4' tall the bell itself is 18". The frame is about 7 feet wide.
I got up on a ladder about seven feet above the frame put my 828 on a monopod, set the timer, and held out as close to the middle as i could, as steady as i could with one arm (if you look real close at the reflection in the top of the bell you see the ladder and the cam).
I did about 20 shots various instrument combos and lighting ... this was the only one that was useable..... my arm is still sore from holding the cam and monopod. Thanks for the comments. Bill (tubaman)

I second Joe: very creative! How did you do that I mean, the vertical perspective?
