Another beautiful composition! At first I liked this one better because of the ripple, but now I think I like the other one best because of the black water and the glowing shadow.

M..I think this is my favorite of the 2.. I really love the water here so ripply and calm. The lighting one the water surface is beautiful, and the water meeting the leaf as it extends diagonally creates harmony..Beautiful scene..Irish

Melanie, I really like this one too...instead of the shadowplay, you have a wonderful "dance of light" pattern in the gently moving water. I think your orientation of the leaf with it's stem is a good choice & balances out the composition as a whole. Again, I really like the effect of that lovely "patina". Beautiful and well taken. MFC
