Very Cool looking! I love the colour!..and I expecially love those eyes that are popping out ..wild looking.. * I personally am not bothered by the material pattern...and like it..but if you wanted to experiment..you could play with the levels and contrast..which would change the dot pattern..At any rate its a very neat abstract as is ..Very interesting piece..irish

Thank you Mark and Mike. I was rather disappointed by this one, and might try again. When I looked thru the viewfinder and saw the pattern, I really thought I had something; but when I viewed it on the computer, I realized the fabric weave was way too noticeable (that's probably what you're seeing Mark). I applied a slight blur to try to make the fabric less noticeable, but I guess it also ended up removing some of the contrast. I do like the pattern tho'-- guess I just have to come up with a smoother, less noticeable background. Mike, it is a wet piece of glass resting on a piece of shiny purple fabric. --Melanie

Melanie, beautiful color here...and a captivating liquid pattern. (*)I could see experimenting with the contrast a tad, but you may end up liking it the way it is too. Is this water on glass? What is the fabric used in the background? Well conceived and taken. MFC

This is very interesting, Mlynn. I like the purple colro and I like the pattern itself but, (*) there's a slightly distracting linear pattern in the background (not sure how else to describe it?) and, the image could use a tad of contrast, IMO. Nice work. Markjay
