Nice shot - I really like the composition and color. I'd like to see a shot of the whole band, or are they too far apart?

Bev, I like your angled, upward-looking perspective here...makes it seem all the more "dynamic" to me. The color contrast, clarity, and crop are really nice too. Interesting statuary. MFC

Thanks, all of you, for your for your interest and comments. These metal figures are part of a set of 20 statues, each one 7 1/2 feet tall and weighing 350 lbs. They were created for Elkhart, Indiana (with claims as the band-instrument capital of the world) by the owner of a scrap metal business who has taken up metal sculpture as a hobby. All of the instruments, which are welded to the figures, were donated by local residents, and include a 1910 Conn sousaphone. Unfortunately, this unique piece of statuary is being vandalized! Bev

This is really a fun image, Bev! I love the shiny trombones and the repetition of the marching *band* members. Well seen and well done~ Nee :)

Bev, I too am really attracted to the dynamic composition of this piece. Wonderful colors here as well. I'd like to hear more about it's location, etc. Nicely seen and executed. -Michael

Great crop and angle, Bev. These really look as if they're on the march. Care to enlighten us as to the location of this fascinating sculpture? And are they static, or do they they make the anticipated noises? - Mike
