Mike: I like this a whole lot. The detail is meticulous as usual. Your work at times reminds me of a pointillist, the detail so carefully managed. I was ruminating on this a bit today and contrasting it with my broad impressionistic strokes...these are certainly artistic choices, but I learn a lot about the value of detail from your work. Mark, you're right, there is more to the base...I positioned a lens hood to cast a shadow over most of the base to minimize it. Thanks for your comment. MFC

Nice job, MFC. I'm assuming there's more to the base of the figurine than we are seeing and, I like it just the way it's seen with the large shadow across it! Markjay
