We have Christmas trees even here in Turkey; they just look a little different :-).

To me it looks like neon lights on a busy street in Hong Kong. Amazingly close to Chinese characters.

Thanks Dave,

Yes, I too think they look like some Asian writing form; one of the others I took was amazingly similar to Japanese kanji. There are two or three strings on the tree set on irregular and different flash sequences -- I imagine the differences in sequences accounts for the different images produced. In fact, I first got the idea to do this because of the flashing aspect of the lights; didn't know just what I was going to get but I was hoping it might be interesting! Helen

I really like this. The lights to me look like Asian symbols made of neon.
But I can't figure out why all the lights don't have the exact same pattern.

Thank you both for your comments; I surely had fun trying to get an effect I liked. John, that's so funny about the name because I had originally titled it "Electri-tree," just as you said, but my husband said it would be better as Elec-tree-city and I thought it was cute, too, so that's what I went with. Hmm..... maybe I'll go back to my original :-). Helen

Artistic and colorful, Helen...as if created by the strokes of a brush. A beautiful, abstract "painting" you've made here. MFC
