4th place
Templo de Debod

by

It is paradoxical but the eldest building in Madrid was erected in its current location in 1.968. The “Templo de Debod” is one of the most unlikely structures that you would expect to find in the capital of Spain. The temple is over 2,200 years old and was given to Spain as a sign of gratitude by the Egyptian government in 1968 - Spain having given assistance to Egypt in helping to rescue the temple of Abu Simbel in Namibia. The temple was dedicated to the god Amon.

Thanks Phil and Mlynn for your kind comment. Phil you are absolutely right the image was a little soft on the building. I have reposted it with a little more work on post processing. I think the building details are quite sharper now. Jesus

I echo what mlynn said. I love the perspective and the mirror-like quality of the reflecting pool. The whispy clouds are a great bit of luck. (*)Was there any more color in the sky a few minutes earlier or later? Perhaps you could do a blend of one of those shots with this one so you don't gain/lose detail on the structures.
