This barren, almost moon-like landscape is part of the Tablelands near Trout River, Newfoundland. This area is part of the earth's mantle, pushed up to the surface from miles beneath the earth's crust when the African and North American continental plates collided hundreds of millions of years ago.
This was shot into a very bright, low sun and took a lot of work in PSP9 to bring up the detail in the hills.
Please respect each other's work - do not delete, move or edit entries - thank you!
