Blessed are the children...
by Bev Brink

...of quilters, for they shall inherit - Quilts.
an anonymous parody of the Beatitudes, Matthew 5.

This quilt was made by my great-aunt who sewed silk dress-shirts
for men - before the days of mass production. She made quilts
from the very small scraps that were left.

What a treasure, Bev! I assume this quilt is only on display in your home and not actually used. I like the lighting and the parody is wonderful.---Deb

A gorgeous quilt, Bev, the silk giving it a lovely sheen. Very nice how you've used the folds of the quilt as well as the details of the quilt to create the composition. The parody of Beatitudes is fun. -Michael
