Cleo on the Couch by redfive

Adelaide, South Australia

Sorry this isn't a particularly technically good photograph, but its a bit hard when the dog is asleep on the couch and if you turn lights on or move her she'll wake up.

This is Cleopatra the German Shepherd. As you can see, she likes to lie on the couch and her feet hang off the end.

If anyone has any advice or wants the original to improve in photoshop or something for me they're more than welcome. I just thought I'd share!

That's one relaxed-looking dog! Nice shot, great feet. Helen

Life is so rough being a dog. Someone once said something like "a dog's life consists of eating playing and sleeping. When he is sleeping, he dreams of eating and playing." =)

redfive, I'm glad you shared. I'm still so much the amateur at this photo thing, I can only add to the positives here. I have been in your shoes many times when it has come to taking pictures of my four-legged friends. I really like the way you have Cleo's paws positioned in the frame. The viewer's attention is drawn to them as soon as one sees the image. Good job!---Deb

As a dog lover I find this image very funny ... it shows the sweetest aspects of the dog, funny, tender and disrespectful. I think you captured very well the image because the paws are on my face when I look at it.

redfive, Cleo looks very "comfy" asleep on her "throne"...a really cute candid. My dogs have selected a favorite chair of their own too. Sometimes our pets seem to have such human-like qualities...that's just how my feet hang off the end of the couch :) MFC
