The Hands of Time
by Linda L

These are the hands of my 83 year old father.
He is holding the hands of his great-grandson on his first birthday.

Sweet and loving...nice contrast between young and old here, Linda. I like the position and textures of the hands and the way they're set against a blurred, "headless" background...this crop is effective at drawing maximum attention to the hands while providing a good amount of extra subject information too. I agree joa, that bothered me also. I lightened the image a bit to make it less noticeable. Thanks for the input. Linda L

geat shot but, the blur / short depth of field on the left side hand (right hand) gives an unnatural look to it. cheers, joa

I'm sure this will be a treasured photo in the family. Quite a study in contrasts and colors between the two sets of hands. -- Dee

so telling! the juxtaposition of young and old is very potent, here! and i love the "hands" on the watch, as an added bonus! well done. -- andy
