Yucca
by Deb

Oh, boy! Is my face red! I did not read carefully enough Shen-Feng Kai's IR post-processing description to realize that one was supposed to START OUT WITH AN IR PHOTO! No wonder the resulting image turned out in this fashion. Well, I suppose no harm, no foul here. Just goes to prove that mistakes aren't always a bad thing. Thanks for your comments. As always, they are very much welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks for the positive feedback folks. It's very welcomed, especially on a "mistake." Helen, just in case you are ever asked the question in a game of Trivial Pursuit, the yucca plant is in the agave family of plants, which do have desert origins, as do cacti. ---Deb

Nice color and result, Deb, even if it wasn't intended :-). Hard to believe this is a cactus? Helen

Nice shot - I love the dark blue grass, and the contrast of the flower against the dark shadowy background!

Luben, thanks for the encouraging words. This was a color image. I then used the post processing method described in Feng-Kai Shen's link, (which was one of many that Andy W. posted for us). It didn't quite turn out to be a true IR-type image, (greens to white),but I was rather pleased with it. I also played a bit with different colors in the "Hue/Saturation" segment of the process. But this is the one that I liked best.---Deb

Interesting image Deb. I love the colours. Is this a single image or a combination between a colour and a IR image? And what did you do to this in Post?

Well Done
