Coming Out of His Shell
By MFC

This quiet little boy sure lit up when his dad asked
if I'd take a picture of his son playing like a turtle.

The front of the shell came down...
and out popped his head thru the opening!
"Don't I look just like a turtle?", he said...
"Yep, sure do", I replied..."just like a box turtle" :)

Thank you all for the comments. Miguel, I did try a plain B&W one too. When I compared them, I just liked this version a little bit more on this type of style sheet; but I sure could have gone either way with it. Thanks for your good idea. Anonymous.

you have captured a great expression ... why don't you do a B&W image and remove all the color? I think it would be even better.

Miguel

Annonymous, what a wonderful capture! I, too, really like the combination of muted color and B&W. The expression on this child's face is so full of glee and innocence. How fortunate for both you and the boy that you came along w/your camera when you did.---deb

This is one of those "At the right spot at the right time photos". A truly great photo capturing the innocence of childhood and it's simple pleasures. The B/W..color works great here. And so sharp!!!

What a engaging expression Anonymous!!. Beautiful, selective colour and contrast, especially in the highlights of the Hair~ further emphasising emergence from shell. Wonderful composition and metaphor so elegantly presented, in perfect theme. Great Shot! irish_eye
