Andy, a really elegant monochrome and a great take on the challenge topic. -Michael Puff

I like this take on the opening topic. I also love the toning (it gives such a great feel to this image) I've been playing around with this effect but can't seem to get it...Just practice i guess. Wonderful shot Andy. By the way..... who won the match?

Nice (and original) take on the theme. I like that the time clock is in the frame. --Mike Ezell

Andy, I like the strong light, the angled composition/perspective, and the mix of lights and darks here. Neat shot. MFC

This is an interesting and creative perspective on 'openings', both from a photographic and a thematic standpoint. Excellent work on the toning. Bockshufler

Andy.. Great title on this well exposed worn toned game ...really like the 2 hands in the comp...The darker fist with shadowed head versus the white hand ..Good Move, and Capture...irish-eye

Very nice image, and great idea for the concept of openings. I noticed that the timers are facing the camera, did you turn them around to take the image? This is a good point for the image.
