1st Place Winner
"Outlook*" by Miguel Garcia-Guzman

I took this image yesterday when I was outside the house. Bella, squeezing underneath the gate to look for me. I guess she is thinking why I am outside and she is not.

The image was converted to B&W using Hue-saturation, and than I applied a light sepia toning only to the dog, excluding eyes, foreground and the door gate.

My regards,

Miguel G

Man, what a way to start the challenge. I like just about everything about this image. As Irish Eye noted, the eyes are so expressive, and the partial decolorization and composition really work well. -johnebones

Oh, YES Miguel. Animals are tough to really do something unusual with. This is both unusual and attention grabbing.
