Great composition now with the moon far up on the right, nice balance...I am not keen on IR normally but in this case I really like it, your creation is full of atmosphere ... well done, Bee

A very nice IR shot, Katherine...I esp like the composition and your use of "negative" space here. The moon makes it special. Nice photo. MFC

Katherine, I think you made a good decision to keep the moon where it is now. Somehow it just works... and works great. --Nancy/JoseNoway

I think that a larger moon would be nice but i think that the added dark sky of the original is very nice.... less is more .... especially here.... very very nice

I replaced the real moon with a zoomed in one from another picture - I still liked it better up high in the sky. If I put it near the tree line, there was too much empty sky, and if I cropped the sky, it was no longer as low key.

Hassan,

I did take a picture of the moon zoomed in - I might try placing it into this picture and clone the other out. From where I was standing, when the moon was lower, I couldn't have gotten it and the pond in the picture.

Dear Katherine,

Wonderful image but just a thought, if the image was taken at 200mm when the moon was near the tree-line, it would have made it bigger and with more impact. I tried this on a cold windy night in London, its not perfect.

Very moody and beautiful Katherine. And with the moon in the corner, cool! Melanie (mlynn)

Katherine,

This is very beautiful. I hope one day I am able to make so extraordinary images using IR.
