Nancy, I like the sweeping forms and the subtle play of light and shadow...beautiful, high-key photo. Well done. MFC

To the rest of you who commented after I did, earlier, thank you so much. Your comments mean a great deal to me. I really had fun with this challenge-- just wish I'd had more time to experiment some more. --Nancy/JoseNoway

Nancy, I see this image as a large work of art adorning the wall of a museum or home. Beautiful shot. Susan

Nancy, you've done a beautiful job with this one, and it's a lovely expression of high-key work, done with a gentle hand on the camera and on the processing.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your words. After finding out that my daffodils were shot too soon, I was just going to re-shoot them, but the edges were all dried out the next day. Sooooo.... I started looking around and found the Irises outside. What was really cool was that right in the middle of the colored Iris, there sat this white Iris. I cracked myself up when I still went ahead and took what color there was out of it, but it just seemed to work better. Here's the original:

A gorgeous image Nancy, with beautiful lines and textures. And I agree, it would make a beautiful print. Melanie (mlynn)

Nancy
This is a fabulous image. Soft, dreamy, texture rather than color. I can see it printed large, framed, and on display.
