Monarch Field
by Cheryl Meisel

MI

This Monarch had just hatched and it's wings were wet. He was a late
one and as soon as his wings dry he would be on his way to migrate to
Mexico.

I love it..then again..you captured one of my favortie insects. Nice focus of subject..nice texture qulatiy especially the butterfly and the flower, very good work of capturing verticle lines in the background, I like how you were able to capture every distinct characteristic of the butterfly itself. This pictures says "at ease"..good job

The depth of the field (an unintentional pun on dof) raises this above the level of another, albeit beautiful, butterfly "macro". West (of Cary)
