LET ME OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! * by LENWOODBLUZ

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO, CANADA

This is Loki, he's my Miniature American Eskimo, I think that he's part Kangaroo. Good thing for me that he hasn't figured out that he can clear that fence yet. By the way....... if you noticed that there is a pink tinge to my dog... that's not a problem with my camera or your eyes. My daughter and I used Grape Kool-Aid to turn him purple. Unfortunately, It turned pink and now all the other dogs poke fun at him. ......LOL

Yes I'll tell you why... my daughter and i frequent "The Super Pet" and one day the fellow working the till told us about a trick with American Eskimo dogs. He said that before you bath them you soak purple construction paper in the tub until the dye comes out and then after the bath he will have a purple tinge to him on his under-coat in the bright sun. WELL...... My daughter was totally in love with this idea. She saved all her purple construction paper and waited for bath day. The day arived and we followed the directions and all we ended up with was a tub full of soaken wet purple particles that took hours to filter out of the water. Not to mention that Loki remained white. My daughter was mortified (well, not mortified but quite upset) I couldn't have this so I went out and got some Grape Kool Aid and the rest is history. We ended up with one pink dog and one very very very happy little girl (because nothing could be cooler for a 7 year old girl than a pink dog) Its been about 5 months now and the pink is starting to come out. It was a lesson learned and I have recently added one more thing to my ever growing list of "THINGS I WON'T DO AGIAN". Its right up there with "Licking the flagpole" and "That milk's not sour, let me taste!"

Thanks for all the posts....I'm new to STF and loving it

BTW Andy... what were you doing up in thunder bay? Did you get a chance to snap any pics while here? I'd love to see them if you did.

see ya...LENWOODBLUZ

Looks almost exactly like my Tilki, but she only jumps this high for food. Nice capture. Helen

Wonderful capture and a very cute model. Are you going you to tell us WHY you needed a purple/pink dog? Sounds like it could be a very interesting story.---Deb
