Different and clearly eyecatching. I also joined the "ouch" chorus. This is definitely an exceptional "attention getter". Would be a great photo for an ad campaign such as "Do your network problems feel like someones sticking pins in you ... try ..." :-) R. J. (Imager)

Mike, although I don't use acupuncture myself, I'm amazed at its effectiveness for pain control. I've even seen thryoid surgery performed with acupuncture as the only anesthetic !

John, this is a really unusual and interesting mix of textures. Nice use of lighting and background contrast too. Nicely photographed. Where is this displayed/used? At times, I use acupoint GV-20 in cats for cetain behavioral problems...it's their "feel-good" spot :-) MFC

Interesting texture, weird photo! It's surprising that its so small, they really look like nails.

Nice capture of the model's texture, Johnebones. Nice lighting, too - I like the translucent look of the left arm. I don't suppose one should try this at home? Bev

Thanks for your comments. -Melanie, its an old acupuncture model, with about 25 years of 'weathering'. Its only 6 inches tall, and those are actually rusted steel pins, not nails. -johnebones

Ouch! Some sort of weird voodoo doll, or do they use nails in acupuncture? Melanie (mlynn)
