Thank you for your suggestion, Eric. I agree with it completely and appreciate critiques of my entries - but usually forget to add the asterisk. As for "shadow recovery" - I have a vague idea that it would be done with layers & selections. Note to self: Learn to use your image editor! Thanks again, Eric. Bev

Outstanding -- looks almost like a boulder poised in the trees. Beautifully composed and sharp -- not over-sharpened, no halo edges. Good job. If I were to offer a comment (and I know you haven't asked for them), I'd try some shadow recovery on the shady area under the nest. Even a little detail in there would enrich an already wonderful picture. Eric
