Malachite
by MFC

This is one of the rarer, natural forms of malachite. It resembles a coral formation.
Natural malachite looks "velvety" due to the many very tiny crystals that make it up.
Ancient Egyptians prized it for its use as a dye and for its healing properties.
I liked the smooth, "roundish" formations and "green glow" :)

This is really cool! It looks like something under an electron microscope.

What a surprising (to me) image, Mike - I've never seen malachite in this form. The color is beautiful. Lovely! Bev
