Jim, I think the simple, white cup helps define your circles here...the coffee brim & bubbles, the finger piece, & the balloon. This gives me an idea too...it might be neat to try to photograph this from a directly-overhead (or slightly to the side) perspective...to blur out the background , while retaining sharp detail in the brim, the circle of coffee, and the bubbles along the edge. I still like that balloon though :) MFC
