Flight Path
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

This represents the path my husband and I have been on in our move from Okinawa to Turkey. It was taken at National Airport, one of ten that I will have spent much time at over the past six weeks by the time we get to Ankara on Wednesday.

What an eye-catching photo, Helen. The flag and its reflection, the lighting, and the architectural details are outstanding. Bev

This looks great - I don't know what serious shortcomings you're talking about. I can't wait to see pictures from Turkey.

That's really neat, Helen. The deep DOF here is very effective, as the whole airport seems to be in-focus! - JaimeZX

Helen, I really like the perspective, lighiting, and clarity of this photo. The flag is beautifully reflected in the flooring...the flooring looks much like a calm body of water with gentle surface motion. Nice effect and photo. MFC

This is a nice image, especially with the reflected flag. I think a little (more) post-processing could give this image some additional punch. Funny, I was at National last month and (rushing to get through security) didn't notice the flag or appreciate this atrium, as your image makes me do. JoeSchmoe

Helen...What a super photo. I just love the crispness, and beautiful exposure of it. And the Flag reflection is incredible. As always, your photos stand out! Bill B
