Crossing the path *

This farmer walked by as I was kneeling down to shoot the "guarding the path" scene. I snapped him in a reflex. I like his strong posture (allmost like a sculpture) so I wanted to work with this image. Since I had everything in manual everything came out somewhat dark, it took quite some PS to tweak the image. Used the same techique as in "guarding the path II" to paint him.

Great capture. I usually don't care for the painted effect, but it really does work well for this picture. Definitely adds to the rural atmosphere.

Really neat that you captured this moment of crossing. I too like the expression... and the "bigger than life" perspective of the farmer. Nicely composed as well. Again, I like the interesting effect here; but I'd probably like it without the effect too. Nice photo, Hewy. MFC
