Following some good advice (thanks Mark J and MFC)I cloned out some disturbing elements in this one. I then created three layers and filtered the top layer with a fresco effect, the middle one with dry brush, the bottom layer with a rather heavy USM. By mixing the layers I then "painted" the scene again. Using the top layer to create strong black outlines, the center layer for colourfull painting and the lower layer for detail. Best viewed as large as you can (original).
