The gentleman on the right is Yoshihama-san, the master of ceremonies for the Naha Haarii (dragon boat races). Although he is now 98 years old, he still performs this function every year; in fact, I had photographed him at last year's races http://www.pbase.com/image/3350855), where I think he looked at bit more "genki" (healthy) than this year. At that age, I can't blame him for taking a bit of a break from speeches and awarding trophies!
