I did so much thinking when I composed this and I wanted the insulin to be only a small part of this. I was hoping that to the casual glance it would be a gym bag. I try to be an ........er instead of an .......ic. I'm a swimmer, runner (bad one), photographer etc.... The diabetes is something that just comes along for the ride. Good luck with your child, I have an 8 year old daughter myself, that must be quite a challenge for you both.

DL - I am intigued by your inclusion of insulin & diabetes stuff. I am the mother of an 8 yr old diabetic, and I certainly would include diabetes in a definition of myself. Very interesting.
On top of that, this is a really nice image. Well done.

Still life is a misnomer for this composition -- it's vibrant with life and color. Great lighting, too. I might have cropped a bit off the top, but that's a nit -- it's a lovely photo and thank you for posting it. Eric Hatch
