Zuni Stones
by mlynn

For some reason, I've felt particularly intimidated by this particular topic and by the many fine entries already posted.
Unfortunately, I also haven't had the time to devote to coming up with and executing any good ideas.
But I wanted to post at least one image...so here 'tis :-).
**I welcome any comments, as I want to improve :-).

Melanie, sorry I missed your first effort on this image. This one looks so professional. I'd buy a few 'cause they look so neat, BUT they would require occasional dusting and I already dust more than I want to! Just curious, how many of these carvings DO you have?---Deb

These are truly professional product images in a professional product ad. I'm ready to buy! JoeSchmoe

Hi Melanie, I liked this the first time I saw it. Now the non-blurrd edges flow w/the rest of the images. Your spiral logo up in the right corner looks *very* similar to a doodle I've been drawing for years now - maybe we dream in the same space? ;) I really like this ad. Well done and please include me on your list for a catalogue. (this could be the start of a new business?) - Simon Bennett.

For not having a lot of tim, you've done very well. I really like this, and the border adds a really nice touch.

I'm with Mike on this-- you have anything in stock yet? Heh... I'm not even kidding. I love this kind of thing and your design and layout fits these beautiful items perfectly, right down to the font face and logo. Good job! --Nancy

Thank you all for your comments. Mark, I decided to redo it, as you and the others suggested, with the non-blurred edges on the bottom pics. I'm not sure what I was thinking originally-- just playing around, and thinking maybe I'd put the text over the feathered edges of the bottom images (but decided not to). Thanks! And Mike...I might just have to put together a catalog one of these days, as I have more of the little stone critters than I probably should :-)). Melanie

I like it. Great border on this and choice of colors. I think you did a good job, Melanie!

Melanie, I like the lighting and DOF effect on each one of the individual photos here...nicely put together with great choice of font style/color effect. Slick logo too. I do see the point about the blurred margins on the bottom two pics. Very nice ad...I have a couple Zuni pieces...do you have a catalog/brochure you can send me so I can buy my next one from "Zuni Stones"? :) MFC

Beautiful photographs, very well put together with a great font. I particularly like the logo on the right, looks cool. I really like this one. Second Mark's comment that the bottom photos may work with the crisp border like the other two..... Vikas

Mlynn. First, I really DO like your ad a great deal. The colors and texture you chose for your text and the fonts you chose, are exellent! The little symbol at the top right is perfectly placed and gives the viewer a feel for crafty nature of your product / art. The individual images are all placed very well and work well togehter. All around a great image! The only thing I might consider, removing the blurred edges of the two product images on the bottom. The top images have clean crisp lines at their borders, your bottom images might work well that way also? You did a great job here, Mlynn! NEVER feel intimidated... this is STF! :-) Mark J

And a good one it is. I really like the whole composition, the separate images, with soft backlight to highlight the details and make them shine, the different shades of green and the strong border and text colors. Nothing to improve as far as I can think of. Willem
