Jones Coffeehouse
by JoseNoway

Jones Coffeehouse is a fictitious shop, however I see these gals almost every time
I go to Starbuck's to study. They have a great time of it-- they always sit exactly this way,
with feet and hands a-wagging as fast as they talk.

OMG! Nancy, this is beautiful. I can't believe I almost didn't get a chance to check out this gallery.... Excellent compo and I love the way the lady is picking her fingernails like she's a little nervous.

EXCELLENT!

personally, I'd have missed this image if it was me. Great capture and perfect "ad".

Nancy, I really like everything about this ad, the colors the font and the angle.
The comfortable, relaxed atmosphere makes this a place I'd surely visit with friends and the "Jones Coffeehouse" says the rest. Very well done. Linda L.

Nancy, this is a wonderful shot. I like the tones you've chosen. The "implied coffee" is very effective.---Deb

Good eye, Nancy, to have seen this composition. The muted colors and tones are very inviting - one "has" to look. A great ad! Bev

Good coffee is implied-- on the table top above their knees. As a consumer, you are informed of that through the logotype branding. Jones Coffeehouse is famous enough that they feel secure in having a go at a series of ads in a promotional campaign to evoke feelings of comfort, a place as comfy as your own home. All warm and fuzzy-like. ;-) Nancy

Atmosphere is VERY important, yes. However, without GOOD coffee, they'll find atmosphere somewhere else :-) Mark J

Thanks for all your kind comments. I really appreciate them! As for the coffee-in-the-image idea, it's something I'd thought about myself. The thing is, coffeeshops are rarely about the coffee. Oftentimes it's the atmosphere that people are after. A place to "hang" or a place to chat with a friend or a place to study.

Nice suggestive image you captured. I think Lance's suggestion has some merit, but I also like the way you creatively advertised the coffee house without any coffee. JoeSchmoe

I really like this shot. I think it would be better if you can introduce the presence of coffee some where in this image, could be on the border itself.

The borders and the text+fonts work very well and nice colors too, they suite the image perfectly. This works very well as an ad. -Arn-

Really expresses to me that this is a good place to take a break from the hectic everyday life. Love your use of color, borders and text as well. Great one. Willem

Nice job, Nancy. Wonderful combination of colors... contemporary, and pleasing to the eye.
I just love the composition and perspective from which you photographed the scene. Most interesting and creative, is the way in which you framed the advertisement. Mark J

Nice idea, Nancy...I like the combination of tones and color here...and how you set this up. I esp like the expressive moment you caught from a different perspective. Nice image/ad. MFC

Wow! Wonderful shot. The body language is very strong and expressive. And the sepia tone / coffee shop theme really works well. Nice choice of font too. Excellent job!
