Yep, that's one effective image for selling insurance. Nice logo too! Melanie (mlynn)

Very effective ad! The picture of the destroyed house pretty much says it all. Nice job on the logo for the insurance company too! Lisafx

No worries, Katherine. I was just flapping my jaw. I like your idea and image just fine, as-is. Have fun on vacation! --Nancy/JoseNoway

Thanks for the comments.
Deb - this house burned down Saturday morning - it belongs to the parents of a friend of my daughter (they have insurance)
Nancy - it would be good to have the bird superimposed on the flag, but I can't make any changes for this challenge because I'm on vacation out of town and don't have the original image.

I like the idea of using the bird in there for identity purposes. Might be cool to blend him in with the flag if you have a program to do that. I'm envisioning some of those hyper-patriotic ads with flags and eagles and such. Or maybe putting the bird (a bit smaller, though) inside a circular frame to make it seem more like a logo. I also think it would be funny if you listed all the states in the "not available" line, but that's just me and my sense of absurdity. Good job of it. --Nancy/JoseNoway

Great ad, Katherine. I, too, like the B&W building contrasting the color logo. Good looking bird you've got there. Just curious, how exactly did structure come to look like this?---Deb

Very confrontational, puts you right in the spot to decide about insurance. Good combination of B&W and color, which really draws the attention to the brand and message. Willem

The parakeet isn't for anything - like the quaker in quaker oats - I just named it Quaker insurance and put in a picture of my quaker parakeet . They are illegal in all those states I mentioned.

Neat idea, Katherine...I like how the "logo" part is colored & contrasts with the B&W "disaster". I'm familiar with "Quaker" parrots, as depicted in your logo. MFC

I like the image and the message, Katherine. I just don't "get" what the parakeet is for in the ad. Would you be so kind as to explain? I like the ad and the concept though ;-) Mark J
