Great shot! It reminds me of those movies where people are stumbling around in the desert and they cut to a shot of the sun blazing overhead.

Nice abstract, Patriot. Almost hurts my eyes to look at it, but I like it! Helen

Thanks,

The image was taken at 8000ft in the California mountains against a deep blue clear sky. It was taken at IS0 100 1/1000 f8 which is stopped down as the old S85 gets. The photo is unedited except for resizing it. I purchased the camera about 8 months ago and am really new to the hobby. This was one of my experiments of which I enjoyed the surreal effect. I am slowly learning the ins and outs and have learned a ton from all of you STFers.

I can't wait to move up to a camera with less CCD noise!

Beautiful, direct, bright-light shot, Patriot...dramatic effect. Did you use a filter/do anything else to obtain this? MFC
