C12

Okinawa, Japan

This is the engine of a C12 aircraft. Taken at the MCAS Futenma Flightline Friendship Festival. Someone asked in the forum where I was standing when I took this. I was a couple of feet or so in front of the engine, leaning in towards it. I can't explain why you can't see me anywhere (but I'm happy you can't!).

Sony DSC-V1

Helen...your photos always intrique me. When I view this one at first, the chrome propeller hub jumps out at me but then I notice that I am drawn far back into the scene in the hub. Very Cool photo. And amazing sharpness. Bill B

I really like how light is reflected/distorted in the center of this propeller section..I can visualize an abstract involving this section too. Good eye, Helen. MFC

I like this shot very much Helen, there is something very realistic in the V1 colors as well.
Where is the photographer in this reflection? Wonders of optics...
