The bow of the USS Hornet, the carrier which recovered the crew and capsule of Apollo 11, the first lunar landing. This is the namesake of the WWII carrier from which the Doolittle raids were launched (the US's first reaction to Pearl Harbor). That is San Francisco in the background.

This is certainly spectacular. I'm wondering about your note that it was "composed from several shots." Can you explain a bit what you mean and how you did it?

VERY nicely done, Charles. The reflection gives the boat a "ghostly feel to it" and the massive structure is powerful, and yes... your post processing is excellent. Mark J

I like this image. The image seems to be "weighted" slightly to the left; I would consider cropping about 1/8 of an inch from the right side, and then cropping a little from the bottom, to keep the standard aspect ratio... almost perfect. Well done!
