She's Watching (revised)*
by mlynn

I went back downtown this morning to try for a better exposure of the watching lady (better for shooting that side of the street anyways).
Unfortunately, there was no bird this time (and when I tried to put it back in, it just didn't look right).

An added note: This is a bit of detail from a building known as the New York Block on Last Chance Gulch in Helena, MT.
A lightning caused fire destroyed the original building in 1928, and this was its replacement.
The figures at the top represent a seamstress and a tailor (this is the seamstress).

Cool picture - she looks like you better behave yourself if you're walking near this building.

This one gave me a chuckle. A new twist on the gargoyle concept. LOL. Nice capture with the bird flying overhead :-). Lisafx

This is one of the older buildings downtown, and I don't know what it was originally. It isn't a library. It is currently part of the downtown walking mall. I went downtown last night as the spring artwalk was going on, and just hastily snapped several pictures. (I'm a rather shy person, so I felt fairly conspicuous with my camera, and my shots were really hasty. I might go back on Sunday when the shops are closed, and take more time.) Melanie (mlynn)

Looks like a very odd figure for top of building. I can only guess it's a library?

Thank you Mark for your comment/suggestion, and also for reminding me about the asterisk. (I meant to ask for critique :-)). I went ahead and cropped some of the sky out (don't know why I didn't think of that before...). Melanie (mlynn)

Very cute, mlynn! I know you didn't ask for critique but, I can't help but suggest you eliminate the sky above where the bird is. When I crop it out with my hand, it focuses my attention more acutely on the lady watching ;-) Mark J
