I don't know what kind of plant this is but I know I love how it looks. My sister-in-law is a wonderful gardener and this was in her garden.

Love the texture and shadows in this shot! Really original and eye catching. A standout I think. *the lighting seems a tad harsh, maybe back it off a little to create a softer look and even longer shadows? Cindy

Ann, very nice lighting and textural detail here...nice green color too. I especially like the wavy edge along the front leaf margin and the shadow it produces. Good background contrast. It looks like a type of hosta to me. Nice photo. (*)On a reshoot, I'd play around with other compositions, esp a simple one that accentuates that interesting wavy edge/shadow... maybe even try a closer macro for comparison. I know you like abstracts too...might approach the composition that way. I like what you captured very much...I just see some more possibilities to explore if you're ever inclined. MFC
