Tranquility Disturbed - I, by: CindyD

Only about 3 miles distant, one of our favorite places to go recreate as a family is the Honey Lake wildlife refuge. Between hunting season and mosquito season, the refuge offers a wonderful opportunity to get away from vehicles and people; to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the abundant wildlife. Today was no exception, as we took our horses on a little outing to enjoy the sunshine and the scenery.

Hi Eric. This photo by itself was not intended to be photojournalism, but I felt it important to set the stage for the rest of the pics in the series. The series is not really about the helicopter crash as the central story, but about the impact of the crash weeks later on our every day routine life. I either failed to present that adequately, or maybe you had not seen the rest of the story when you made this comment? Cindy

dunno if it's journalism (though I think there's enough "story" in the image for it to be journalism)m but it sure is a great travel shot! erichocinc
