PARIS, France – Sunday March 31, 2002 – 3 :34pm GMT – by Fox Mulder
As fair weather allowed Parisian citizens to enjoy their Easter week end,
At 3:34pm, a lightning hit the copy of the liberty statue, near the Eiffel tower.
Seconds later, the lightning was followed by several earthquakes
Their preliminary magnitudes varied between 3.6 and 5. No injuries were reported, the civil defense said, adding hundreds of houses had suffered roof damage, fallen chimneys, broken window panes and cracked walls.
The lightning left a glimmer on the statue’s torch. A crowd of people stood and stared.
