Faye,

Very elegant composition and execution. I, like Sarah, would like to see a touch more sharpness/focus, but that is a small note in search of perfection in a substantially solid image. Nice job.

Very creative, I would never have thought of shooting an onion this way! I like the softness, but there's a difference between softness and focus, and to me this looks just a tiny bit out of perfect focus. I like what you've done with the texture of the cloth, but I'd also like to see a version of this shot maybe on a kitchen counter with a window in the background to add a more common setting for a shot of an onion :) Sarah

Wonderfully composed and beautifully set up, Faye! I love the draping of the fabric...the folds curving so gracefully around the base of the onion, and the shoots of the onion standing up straight against a softly flowing backdrop. It has a very sensual (not sexy, but visually tactile) quality to it because of the soft lighting and the mix of gently curved and angular shapes. ~Nee

and I've been only using onions for cooking. Very effective and imaginative shot. Harry

The lowly onion elevated to a "work of art". Nicely presented, Faye. Bev

What a really interesting image, Faye! I like how you composed the scene and, even the way the cloth is positioned on the bottom (next to you main subject). Your choice for vertical framing is also to be complimented... it's very suitable for the geometrics of your subjetc. Mark J
