Part of human nature, promises usually have impact on our lives. A promise kept: a sign of life, confidence and continuity is always a nice thing to have or to do. A broken promise causes pain beyond the physical, the dull and throbbing sensation of disappointment that hits us all from time to time. Going out of our ways to keep a promise is a great thing to do, and we probably should do it more often.
