Sorry Folks but this is an old series from an earlier challenge I just couldn't resist re-entering. It was from Shutter's Photojournalism series. imo this fits the topic to a t.

Local youth, Tristan Potter (14) was the victim of a recent and widely reported bizarre cola can explosion caught on camera (inset). The impact of the mini soccer balls released from the can knocked his teeth out of whack. On closer inspection a local orthodontist found it necessary to remove one ball that had lodged between two lower incisors, forcing them apart.
