This magnificent piece of work is a padlock manufactured as test piece on completion of apprenticeship by locksmith Erich Daniel Lundsteen, Elsinore, in 1825. The lock is opened with keys, but before this can be done, the doors covering the keyhole must be opened by pressing down the following four points simultaneously : The 4th button from the right, under the doorstep. The plate on the back of the lock, opposite the keyhole. The lock-clamp. And the plate under the lock-clamp.
