I like the contrast here. I deem you the "King of Contrast".

Very nice Jim - I love the strong shadow against the stark BG. -Faye

Excellent composition Jim! The colored umbrella makes for a nice contrast against the rest of the low key elements in the image. If trhis were mine.... might have fooled around with making the entire image a B & W, except the umbrella :) Mark J

I like this, Jim. At first one thinks "a simple picture", but a closer look reveals a lot going on in terms of composition and color. Nice silhouette, and the unbrella is just magic. Bev

Very nice, Jim. Great compositional divisions, with horizontal treeline at a bottom third and man at pretty much a left third, with head in a crossing of upper third and left. Like Mike I esp like the gentle, wintry color tones and how the fairly colorless man is set off by the color in the umbrella. My only tiny nit: that spot in the snow at the veriest bottom of picture, to the right could go. - Ro

I like this, Jim...nice background that helps create the "silhouette" holding the umbrella. I also like how the background and dark form of the person contrasts with the color and detail of the umbrella. Effective and interesting. MFC
