Eric - really nice image. The brown tones really add to the somber quiet mood. I like the boats and dock being positioned to the right rather than centered. The horizon doesn't bother me, but if you would rather straighten it: my favorite method is to use the measure tool to "measure" along the horizon and then select rotate canvas->arbitrary. The dialog box will default to the amount which will make the measured line level. - Mark Siemon

Eric, I like this similarly to "Maligne Morning"...hard to say which I like best...again, you convey a "mood" well with effective tones, lighting, and composition. MFC

The original was what first displayed on this one for me. When I look at it much smaller, the noise, etc, drops off, showing the beautiful scene. The colors are very ethereal. - Ro

Thanks Ro, I have a 19" monitor as well, looks ok to me and prints out fine at A4, except perhaps a little darker in the blue.

I'm going to play bad cop for minute. The thumbnail's composition drew me in, but the picture's way too big for me to enjoy it (and I have a 19" monitor). While the subject has a decided emotive quality, it's lost for me in the overprocessing with the saturation noise and the haloing. Sorry. - Ro

Since there have been a few comments regarding the levelness of the horizon: what I like to do is, select a rectangle area just below the "horizon line", then clone in the desired pixels along the selection line. This will give you a way of obtaining a level horizon, while using the selection box as a guideline to a straight / clean result.
Personally, the horizon does not bother me... I know it's a lake, not an ocean, you can't realistically expect the horizon to be perfectly straight with a land mass in the background. FWW, Mark J

Great atmosphere. I don't think you can just level the horizon, since this would put the boats at an angle. It is not a real horizon, it is the shore of a lake, which does not have to be level. If you want it level then you have to skew the picture (might be worth a try ...) Willem

This is beautiful. I love the peaceful feeling in this. I do agree that a slight tilt up to the right would make it even better. Ann C.

very nice image. might be worth the time to level the horizon in PS or PSE

Enoack... perfect composition, excellent depth of field, nice silhouettes captured, with water reflection as an added bonus. The image is so sharp, one can even make out what appear to be smoke stacks well into the distant view of the image. Mark J
