With humans making multigenerational voyages across the cosmos, no resources can be wasted in the self-contained environment of vessels which make the trip. Therefore, 20 to 30 percent of the mass of a person who has expired (of natural causes, of course) will be prepared for immediate consumption, most likely in some processed food product. Of the remaining, what isn't used for medical research will be composted, thereby helping guarantee the success of fellow pioneers in multiple ways.
